| Is there a fee to get a library card? | For individuals residing in Shelburne, Amaranth, Melancthon, Mono, and Mulmur, there is no charge. For others, there is an annual non-resident fee of $100 per household. | |
| What happens if I lose my card? | Report it to the library immediately. You are responsible for any materials taken on the account until it is reported. | |
| How long can I keep library items? | Books & Magazines: 21 Days (new arrivals or high-demand items may be less); Books on CD: 14 days; DVDs & Music CDs: 7 days | |
| What happens if my items are late? | The library system automatically calculates late fees at a rate of $0.10 per day on each late book, magazine, book on CD, and music CD, and $1.00 per day on each DVD signed out to you. | |

| I’m not done with my library items, how can I renew them? | To renew your items, either call the library at 519-925-2168 or go to your online account and renew them! | |

| Can I donate books to the library? | YOUR library graciously accepts book donations, however, all book donations MUST be cleared through the CEO. | |
| What if the book/DVD in which I’m interested isn’t owned by the library? | In this case, please talk to library staff about asking to borrow another library’s copy, or submitting a purchase suggestion (both FREE of charge). | |
